Why are wooden toy building blocks good for children?: Wooden toys are ALIVE

We are a young family – Liga and Guntis with two lovely kids from Latvia, Europe. Making natural wood blocks for children is our family business for almost a year now.

It all started when our eldest child, Valters, was about 2 years old. We were looking for natural wood blocks and especially - with Latvian alphabet letters on them while not having any artificial colors used. We did not succeed.

So we decided to make such wood blocks for him by ourselves. Our son loved them and enjoyed playing with these blocks for hours and hours...and hours again. Latvian alphabet has 33 letters and he has learnt all of them by heart very quickly.

It was the moment our business idea came to us.

That was how our Klik Klak Blocks were created.

Now and then we receive questions from our customers what’s so different between wooden and plastic blocks. They say - the kid can build the same house, tower or castle while playing with any of the kind.

We always answer – the wooden ones are ALIVE! The really are! There is a real energetical exchange between the person who plays with the wooden toys and those pieces of wood he is holding in his hand.

How? Let us tell you more.

Every type of wood has its own energy. Did you know that a part of the trees are giving their positive energy but another ones are taking your (positive and negative) energy away? We make our Klik Klak Blocks of natural pine and Baltic birch. Both are the „giving type” of trees which means that they give your kid their positive energy while he’s playing with these pieces of blocks. Make sure of it yourself – take this natural block of pine in your hand. Do you feel the warmth while holding it? That’s it! It’s the energy of pine wood. Pine increases immunity and takes all the stress away.

The same with birch – it’s a giving, a very strong tree that brings its energy to the ones who are interacting with it. Similar with oaks, maples and lindens.

But in the same time, aspens, fir trees and a few others take the energy away and are called „energy taking”. It’s better to avoid having them placed in your kid’s room.

It’s a miracle what a little piece of wood can give to the kid! It’s a piece of nature. As natural as it can ever be.
